La Marina is situated approximately 20 minutes from Alicante Airport, 10 minutes from Guardamar, 20 minutes from Torrevieja and 6 minutes drive from the beach on the southern part of the Costa Blanca. La Marina is a well developed urbanisation whose local amenities include several banks, 3 public swimming pools, snooker club, bowling club, supermarkets, national health doctor, private clinic, pharmacy, newsagents and plenty of bars and restaurants (English, Spanish, Italian and German). There is a good bus service in La Marina to all the local towns and markets as well as to La Marina beaches in the summer. For golf lovers the southern part of the Costa Blanca has several good golf courses. The closest golf course to La Marina is La Marquesa situated at Rojales about 5 miles away. Las Ramblas, Villa Martin, a championship golf course and Campoamor are within a 20 minute drive. The famous golf courses at La Manga are 45 minutes drive. There are numerous places to visit for both young and old during your stay on the Costa Blanca. Terra Mitica Theme Park is an excellent day out for all age groups. Eating out on the Costa Blanca in Spain is both varied and inexpensive. You will find a wide range of bars and restaurants in La Marina and surrounding areas such as Guardamar, Santa Pola, Alicante and Torrevieja which are very reasonable. There are 320 days of sunshine on average on the Costa Blanca each year. |
